THE SCHOOLS LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
Name of FS Student: Ma. Fe S. Bergado
Course: BSED Math
Signature:___________________
Your Target
At the end of this activity, you will be competent in identifying and classifying
resources that facilitate teaching and learning processes.
Your Map
It will be an interesting journey to the world of educational technology. A chance
to visit and observe a learning resource center of a school will start you off.
For this process, explore the world through these steps:
Step 4: Write down a brief reflection of
your experience.
Step 3: Make an inventory of its available
resources and classify them according to their
characteristics and functions.
Step 2: Ask the learning resource center in-charge
about how some equipment or facilities are used.
Your Tools
After you have observed, classify the resources available in the learning
resource center. Please use the activity form provided for you.
4. ICT Resources
Computer Laboratory
Impression:
I found that many of their resources are can be used by the student but not
everyone can experience it. But I am happy because even though they having lack in
materials the teachers still do their best so that everyone can experience. And I also
believe that this is a good point for their school because now many of the students
learned base on experience not just only by visualizing the lesson through their
imaginations.
Your Analysis
Were the Learning resources/materials arranged properly according to their
functions and characteristics?
Yes, they are all arranged accordingly to their functions. We
can see a lot of materials that may can help to deepen the
understanding of the students. We also notice that all of the materials
there are can be used by the student as long as they will not destroy it.
Do the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy access to the materials by
the teachers? Why? or Why not
Yes, because the teacher was there whenever theres a
student who will use it. They give instruction first on how they can use
the materials and the students should ask first for the teachers
permission whenever they want to use that material.
What are the strengths of this Learning Resource Center?
As what I have said a while ago this materials help them to
deepen their understanding. This also live an idea to the students that
math is enjoyable because many of the materials there can be
manipulated and play by the students.
What are its weaknesses?
There materials are too few to handle all of the students.
And some of them are enjoying what they are doing thats why some of
them are not going to their class and they stay for long at the Learning
Center.
What suggestions can you make?
I know that its too expensive if they buy a lot of materials
just too handle all the needs of the students, but maybe they might
think of another way so that they can provide the things needed by the
student.
Your Reflections
1. Which of the materials in the learning resources caught your interest the most?
Why?
Their books and module really caught my attention because there
they can learn their lesson and they can also test whether they
really understand the lesson or not.
2. Which gadgets/materials are you already confident to use/operate?
Visual aid because that is too common even though your just
only a student when you have reports you already use that and
also some power point presentation because our teacher teach
us how to operate and use that.
3. Which one do your feel need to learn more about?
I think I need to learn more about on how to use the technology
to give some exercises on the student so that even though
theres a student which is absent on that day I can give him/her
task so that he/she can still learn even though he/she is only on
their house.

Your Analysis
Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target
audience? Why? or Why not?
Maybe, because some of the students may enjoy the
facts inside their bulletin but the interest of the students is
not really their because there is no game on their bulletin only
facts and some of their facts cannot catch also the attention
and interest of the students.
Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to
understand? Why? or Why not?
Yes, because the language use there can easily
understand even an elementary students. And the message of
the bulletin can immediately understand.
What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it effective?
Why? or Why not?
I think the purpose of the bulletin board is to give some
information or facts that mathematics s related.
What suggestions can you make?
Maybe I could suggest that they might put some other
information about mathematics or maybe they might focus on
the topic they really want. And maybe they can also put some
game in their bulletin. In that case their bulletin will more
informative and interactive.
Objectives:
The students should inform on how to get the perimeter, area, surface
area, circumference, and volume of different shapes.
What a Fact!!!
Based on your suggestions, make your own board display lay-out. You may
present your output through any of these:
A hand-made drawing or lay-out
An electronic (computer) drawing/illustration or lay-out
A collage

Your Reflections
1. Name at least 5 skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with
effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
Creativity the teacher must be creativeness to have a
beautiful and right design. Interest the teacher must have
this skill because if the teacher dont have that interest in
making a bulletin then the outcome of the bulletin is not
good. Mastery of the topic because if the teacher dont

4. Closely observe the learners response to the teachers use of learning resources.
Listen to their verbal responses. What do their responses indicate? Do their
responses show attentiveness, eagerness and understanding?
5. Focus on their non-verbal responses. Are they learning forward showing their
interest on the lesson and the materials? Are they looking towards the direction of
the teacher and the materials? Do thei actions show attentiveness, eagerness, and
