Bed Make-Up Relay

Mechanics
1. The competition is open to all Hospitality Management and Travel Management students.
2. Only five ( 5 ) teams will compete - four (4) from the day class and one ( 1 ) from the SAES.
3. Each team will be composed of five (5) members, who will perform the following bed make up
procedures:

2nd member
3rd member
4th member
5th member

take off soiled linen

Lay down the bed pad and fitted sheet
Lay down the first bed sheet
Lay down the second bed sheet and blanket
encase the pillow,
cover the bed for
1. vacant ready room; and
2. occupied room
perform the turn down service

4. A team is given a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes to make up the bed. A point deduction
from the raw score will be made for every two-minute excess on the allotted ten-minute
period.
5. Criteria for judging:

Accuracy of Procedure

Teamwork
Impact of Made up Bed
Appropriateness of Attire

6. The top three teams will be declared as winners. They will awarded trophy and certificate.
Each member of the non-winning teams will receive certificate of participation .
7. The decision of judges is final.
8. Student-representatives are requested to secure the entry form from the HM office, October
9, 2013. Deadline of submission will be on Friday morning, October 11, 2013.
9. Orientation and practices will be on Friday afternoon of October 11, 2013 at Annex room 33.
