General conditions satisfy the site Standing Instructions as listed

in the Plant Item Commissioning Testing Essential Prerequisites
(SCL MS 1/1).

The nameplate legend agrees with the approved NTPC Plant

Nomenclature, is clearly visible, securely fixed, is durable and
correlates with any remote labels.

Installation correct and complete to latest drawings. Heavy valves

are supported properly and independent of the pipeline. Damper
should not carry the load of the pipeline.

Direction of flow marked and correct.

Check duct damper connection

Check mounting of damper/gate actuator

Access adequate for adjustments, maintenance and repairs and

check mechanical completion.

Adequate locking facility exists.

Lubrication suitable and satisfactory.

Check Position indicator visible and indicating correctly and set

correctly (if appropriate)

Remote indication limit switch mounted securely and set correctly

(if appropriate)
Verify the torque and limit switches are properly set.

Adequate clearance to wall / steelwork around hand wheel for

operation.

Check damper behavior for smooth operation under operating

condition and over entire range

Check the gate entry seal ,undamaged.

Check blowers at gate /damper mounting and functioning. (SCL
for blower to be filled separately.)
Check the blower outlet pneumatic gate for its proper operation.
