STUDENT PROFILE:
TSA is an academy for students who are looking for a role in prestigious and
challenging field of accountancy, top notch students from background in
commerce/science who are dedicated and willing to work hard are a part of
the academy. And these are the students who attain their goals.
Below is how we deducted the entire case while having a discussion with Mr.
Tabani himself:
SUCCESS STORY:
Mr. Sharif Tabani is in the field of education where he is continuously guiding
young boys and girls, who are determined in attaining certain qualifications
in the field of accountancy. In order to finance himself to attain higher
education he started giving tuitions on a very local level and this formed a
platform for him to start his own educational coaching business. This was
accomplished when he realized his potential to teach. It was then when he
established a center for coaching students who are opting for Chartered
Accountancy. It was in 1987/88 that he felt it was required to bring an
institute for these youngsters, a platform where they can be guided as it was
not available.
It was during Mr. Tabanis studentship he had this creative intuition while he
was doing an internship and attending various short courses to utilize his
free time and bring some usefulness to it. He states his mission to provide
quality education and to produce good professionals and respectable human
beings.
It was because of his early experience and professional excellence he had a
better vision of what he was determined at and where and how he wanted to
set up his business. The initial phase was a very small set up a campus of
two rooms and with approx twenty students. It was only him teaching these
twenty when it all started and it gradually progressed and now there are
almost three thousand students with fifty faculty staff who are with complete
dedication doing fair business towards the students and the institute.
His business was a single handed effort with no loans taken and without any
help or assistance. It was more of a societal need that he felt was required to
be fulfilled rather than a business for him, therefore he did not had a plan,
forecast or any sort of investment taken from any one. This was a sole effort
without any family involvement.
Mr. Sharif Tabani at age 55 years is a Commerce graduate and professionally
a Chartered accountant. Teaching since 1981 to inter commerce students
and later on 1988 CA students has a strategic outlook to things where long
term benefits hold bigger and greater value than any short term advantages.
He believes in becoming a role model rather than copying others. His own
individuality is of great importance to him, he wants to be different than
others and therefore has his own standards and his own set of goals that he
plan to set and achieve.
Throughout his experience in the field of education he was an introvert, but
he states his time in this business has made him grow a network of highest
number of business professional in the field. And unlikely he has a great
networking now.
Mr. Tabani concept of following is different than many, he believes in
following institutions rather than individuals and by this he means to bring
diversity to things than one similar concept floating around. He has the sight
to bring ease to complexity by his united versatility in the field. He attributes
all the success in his field to his Chartered Accountancy and claims it a
success for himself as an individual and as a business. He is the care taker of
his business and takes pride in being involved in every step from marketing,
planning, decision making, administration, finance and teaching. He is
involved in every step.
A sole proprietorship with around fifty staff members and almost the same
admin staff, TSA plans on having shared partners as its growing, this
partnership would be of separate activities involved in the business rather
than the entire business itself. For every business marketing holds great
importance and awareness is crucial for growth and survival, TSA is doing
the same via outreach firm, different presentations, via newspaper and lastly
but most importantly via word of mouth because of its outstanding teaching
facility and quality education impartation.

TSA holds great pride in stating that it has the best customer service and
quality in educational service and providing best results. All activities at TSA
are centralized. The financial position of the TSA can be well managed and
clearly stated as good because of the highest number of students enrolment
in Karachi every year which continually grows. TSA only plans to grow with
strength and would pursue for the growth in other areas rather than the city
of Karachi once it sees the potential and demand in other areas and also the
opportunity to be a success in other areas of Pakistan.
Sharif Tabani expresses his religious views as strong motivator to only in
becoming a better Muslim and to be the best member of society. He believes
entrepreneurs are closer to God as a matter of fact since they are on verge
on excelling in something untapped in the market. He accredits ethics to be
of core value in business. ST is a pioneer in the Accountancy schooling
business and looking at the communal grounds believes to give the due back
to the society and community over all, TSA is socially responsible academy
and imparting education on scholarships to those in need and those who are
excelling in their studies. This is STs individual act and there is no support
from any association as such in his act of educational growth.
