Careers for
Information
Professionals &
How to Find Them
We all know that the current job markets are the hardest in recent
history. Yet innovation and the continual expansion of new tech-
nologies constantly create new career opportunities for information
professionals.

Most jobs are filled by referral rather than recruiting so it’s impor-
tant to use your professional skills to raise the awareness of who
you are and what impact you’ve created. During this session,
learn how to improve your personal branding, connection skills,
and practical techniques on how to connect with a broader audi-
ence. This might just help you find your next career!

Wendy Beecham is the CEO of Watermark, a community of ex-

ceptional women leaders seeking to grow their personal impact
in their professions. One of her many honors includes the title of
2010 Women of Influence from the San Jose Business Journal.

Wendy brings over 25 years of corporate leadership experience. She

spent the majority of her career in electronic publishing, holding a
variety of senior leadership roles including senior vice president of
a division at LexisNexis Group, and managing director of London-
based Sweet & Maxwell Group, a legal division of the Thomson
Corporation.
