BOYS WILL BE BOYS

his is pretty much the clich story of a small idea brought into fruition through plenty of hard work, much sacrifice and browsing the internet for countless hours. With the belief that art created using a 3D software package is similar to a painting or a sculpture, this magazine was designed in a similar way such a piece would be presented. This first issue Boyish Desires happened in a way by accident, whilst thinking of a title for this issue I looked through many of the images collected and their names, not one title that covered them all came to mind. Focusing to the avoid the easy option of The Beginning or Here it Begins I worked my brain trying to find the ideal title. Once again the images were examined, apart from about two groups the rest of the images were all things many would have wanted as a boy. After a bit of thought the conclusion arose that Boyish Desires would be the perfect title for this issue. The morale of this story is next time think or a title before you get images. Enough talk Ill let you get on with flicking though pages. Dont forget to let others know about Ceiga through any methods available and let me know what you think of it, Im eager to get any form of feedback.

ani Garcia is a well known artist in the CG industry who has pretty much perfected modelling the human female body. Whether its a stylised beauty or an accurate realistic female body Garcia has shown the skill to create breath taking interpretations of both. Thats why his work was a perfect fit for the front cover of Ceiga magazine. Fashion Model by Dani Garcia goes particularly well will the theme of the first issue Boyish Desires as most boys would not hesitate to stare at an image of a glamorous fashion model, in fact all boys and will gladly glue their eyes to this attraction and start to wish that model was with them where they were, thus being a desire. This front cover image sets the standard for the work you are about to see throughout the rest of the magazine.

Whether its one they have seen on television or one that has been conjured up by their imagination, superheroes play a large part in the development of creativity and imagination in the lives of many people. Lie, fight, annoy, brag; these are just a few things any boy will do to impress an attractive girl. A clumsy act or a sudden crackle of the voice are just some of the things that happen to the average boy when approached by an glamorous girl, and little changes when a boy becomes a man. This is why artists throughout the ages have created many pictures of beautiful women, and this is probably what drove these artists to create these images.

Computer graphics in this day and age allows artists to re-create existing cars or create their own with amazing photo realism, here are just a few of them.

Dinosaurs are mysterious creatures, we have so much information about them yet we have never been face to face with one. This mysterious nature might be what makes a boy wish dinosaurs exist today, their rough scaly skin, how they survived, and the way they hunt and feed on their prey. This is what most likely inspires artists to create their own creatures or even recreate the mysterious dinosaurs.

School brings back many memories for us all, many good, many bad and many unspeakable. But there are some memories shared between all men when they were boys. Getting butterflies when you get close to that special girl, being involved in a fight and of course, the first kiss. But your whole experience of school began in one room, the room where you met your teacher, friends and got most of your education, the classroom.
