Set four objects on your table, each representing a type of soil in the story. Point to each type as you take turns describing the soil and what happens to the seed that is with it in the story. Point to each one again as you describe what happens to Gods Word in each situation. What kind of soil does your family want to plant itself in? Commit to doing that.

Pray these words: Dear God, open our ears and minds. We want to hear your stories and have your words take root and grow in our hearts. In Jesus name we pray, Amen. The money you bring helps Alexandra, Daniel, and their families have food, shelter, clothing and education. Pop some popcorn. Count the unpopped kernels and discuss with your family why some might not have popped. How do you feel when lots of kernels are unpopped? What does that say to you about this story from Jesus?
