Shared Reading
This week we read The Jolly Postman, Toot and Puddle and The Post Office Book. We discussed the different types of mail that were in these books. We also made a list of the kinds of mail we might want to write in our Writing Center. We read many Valentine chants this week. We talked about the v and f sounds. We also highlighted the following contractions: youre and Im. We know that youre is you are and Im is I am.

Reminders: ~Remember to send your January Journals back to school. ~Dont forget to send in one roll of pennies for our bank. General Information Wow! We had GREAT fun at our Valentine celebration today. We made Valentine cookies, Valentine hats, complete a Valentine candy graph, and passed out our Valentine cards to our friends. It was an awesome day! Sidney finished reading 100 books this week. Congratulations Sidney!

Theme
We are busy constructing the Outback in our classroom. We signed up for project work for out Outback this week. We are working on the habitat, animals, and activities/sports. We turned our Office Center into a Post Office this week. We have a mailbox outside our classroom door. We are creating an address book for our Writing Center. We will begin writing letters

Items Needed:
Envelopes, small stickers(post office) small ziploc bags (for all the teeth we are losing)
