We will be celebrating MOTHERS this week. First, well learn about ways to appreciate our own mothers on their upcoming holiday next Sunday. Well be working extra hard on a special project to help show how much we love them everyday. Then, we will also be celebrating Mary, Jesus mother, with a special allschool celebration on Friday afternoon. This Friday morning, the kindergarteners will have MOVE-UP DAY, when they visit first grade. They will meet the teachers, do a little 1st grade work and try out those big 1st grade desks! Ask about it after school on Friday. Our ANIMALS 2X2 unit will continue this week as we have only a couple days more to wait for our duck eggs to hatchstay tuned for updates. We will also continue our study of the body structures and behaviors of our baby chickensthey are worth a look if you have time to stop in the classroom this week or next! We will begin our unit on subtraction in MATH. This unit can be a challenge for all of the studentsplease help your child by going over each math page as it comes home. Thanks. Attached is the FIELDTRIP slip for our class tip to COMO ZOO on May 18. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to join us for this fun day. Bring a bag lunch and a drink. This is a uniform day for students. All kindergarteners will ride the bus to the zoo. School policy is that siblings ride in cars with their parents. Please write on permission slip how many adults & siblings joining us. Slips are due May 11. Thanks.
