Normally, I eat 2 servings of White Fudge Covered Pretzels. 3. The total number of calories eaten in these 2 servings is 260. 4. 1 Calorie = 4.186X10^3 Joules a. 260 Calories * 4.186X10^3 J/ 1 Cal = 1.1X10^6 Joules 5. W=Fd= mass * acceleration due to gravity * distance a. Work= 71.3 kg * 9.81 m/s^2 * 3.0 m = 2098.4 Joules b. Weight in Newtons= mass * acceleration due to gravity = 71.3 * 9.81 = 699.4 Newtons 6. According to the following calculation, I would have to climb the steps 524 times to burn off the 2 servings of Flipz White Fudge Covered Pretzels. a. 1.1X10^6 Joules (pretzels)/ 2098.4 Joules (work done going up the steps) = 524.
