Positive na ang Pinas

TINAAS ng Standard & Poors sa positive ang pananaw nito sa credit rating ng Pilipinas mula sa stable, na higit pang nagpaigting sa pag-asang magagawaran na sa wakas ang bansa ng investment grade sa 2013.
Sa isang positive outlook, malamang na maiangat na ang credit rating ng bansa sa madaling panahon kung magpapatuloy ang nakikitang magandang kalagayan. Kasalukuyang tinakda ng S&P sa Pilipinas ang rating na BB+, na isang antas na lang ang baba sa investment grade. Sinusulong ng mga opisyal pangekonomiya ng bansa ang isang investment grade, na inaasahan nilang makatutulong na mapasigla ang foreign direct investment (FDI) na nakalilikha ng trabaho. Sa pahayag na nilabas noong Huwebes, sinabi ng S&P na nakabatay ang pasyang paangatin ang outlook sa rating ng Pilipinas sa pagsusuri sa magandang kalagayang pampulitika sa bansa na nakita sa kakayahan ng administrasyong Aquino na itulak at ipatupad ang mga mahahalagang reporma. nce again the Philippines came so close to bagging the Miss Universe crown when Janine Tugonon placed second at the culmination of a glittering pageant held at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Manila)
Thirteen years ago, the country also almost bagged its third Miss Universe title when Miriam Quiambao was proclaimed first runner up in the competition held in Trinidad and Tobago. The last time the Philippines won the pageant was in 1973 when Margie Moran bagged the crown in Athens, Greece. Gloria Diaz first won the title for the country in 1969. Tugonons first runner up finish also marked the third straight year that the country figured in the pageants Top 5. Last years representative, Shamcey Supsup, was fourth, while Venus Raj placed fifth in 2010. Olivia Culpo edged Tugonon out of the title to become the eighth Miss Universe winner from the United States. The American beauty is also the third hometown bet to bag a major beauty title this year. Chinas Yu Wenxia was proclaimed 2012 Miss World in her home country, while Japans Ikumi Yoshimatsu bagged the 2012 Miss International title in the land of the rising sun. During the final round of competition, the final five delegates answered questions from the judges. The 20-year-old Culpo drew the name of 2010 Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete from Mexico who asked if she had done anything she regretted. Culpo replied: Id like to start off by saying that every experience no matter what it is, good or bad, youll learn from it. Thats just life. But something Ive done Ive regretted is probably picking on my siblings growing up, because you appreciate them so much more as you grow older. Tugonon picked noted fashion photographer Nigel Barker who asked if it should be a prerequisite for a Miss Universe, as an international ambassador, to speak English. For me, being Miss Universe

The overlapping sheer fabric on the bodice also concealed her svelte figure while the silvery floral accents, fans noted, looked like Christmas ornaments. Her gown was made by Colombian designer Alfredo Barraza. Culpos red velvet ball gown with a dangerously low neck line also drew flak from pageant followers on the Internet. Rounding up the Top 5 are Venezuelas Irene Esser, second runner up; Australias Renae Ayris, third runner up; and Brazils Gabriela Markus, fourth runner up. Andy Cohen and Guiliana Rancic shared hosting chores in the pageant beamed live to more than 100 countries. Tugonon is expected to arrive on Saturday to a rousing welcome from her compatriots.
