CATHOLIC Services Appeal • Next Sunday
The Catholic Services Appeal
collection is coming next week!
Your gift to the Catholic
Services Appeal (CSA) helps to
sustain Catholic schools, religious education, ministerial formation,
and initiatives for life, peace, and justice. The UCC receives an
annual subsidy of $75,000 from the Diocese from these
funds. Your donations are money for God’s work, and we use
them accordingly. Your contributions are deeply appreciated, very
much needed, and make a real difference in the lives of many.

To learn more and to watch a video produced by the Diocese of
Austin, visit www.austindiocese.org/csa. The UCC’s goal this
year is $5,000. Consider making a one-time gift or an
annual pledge.

FR. ISAAC HECKER QUOTE
“Now, to make a man believe that this is the
true way of arriving at his immortal destiny,
nothing can be more expedient than to reveal to
him that whatever truth and virtue he already
possesses is but a feeble beginning of the virtues
offered to his practice. You can never convert
an unbeliever by striving to persuade him
that he is totally depraved.” [“The Human
Environments of the Catholic Faith,” The
Catholic World, 1886]

Between September 30th, 2011 and September
30th, 2013, the University Catholic Center
building debt was reduced by $266,400.09. Due
to generous financial stewardship on the part of
our community and donors, the debt was
reduced from $371,437.14 in 2011 to
$105,037.05 in 2013.

We would love to retire this debt by 2014! If you feel called to
make a commitment to further reduce the UCC building debt,
please contact Elizabeth at Elizabeth@utcatholic.org. Hook 'em!
