life together upstage and rejoining the line.
-FIRST LINE SCENE
-ALL: Look out not at Parker, even if hes sitting right in front of you.
The three levels of looking in the play are floor, horizon (eye level), and
heaven light (fantasy/above you).
-AND
When SOLOISTS are singing, the group should be focused on BOBBY.
Then when everyone joins in, they should be looking up in heaven light and
back to Bobby once he begins again.
-AT THE BALLET
-Once Maggie moves center, everyone should move back into the
darkness (for mic changes). THEN move back to the line after Maggies
belting (once the music dies down)
-MONTAGE PART 1
-While in line, begin to slowly feel yourself during the opening Hello
twelve. It should be like youre young and discovering your body.
-MONTAGE PART 2
-Move to dance places when Don say Pink Cadillac
-MONTAGE PART 4
-From Part 4 on, the dancers have stopped being nervous/isolated from
one another and we can assume theyre all friends at this point. Play with
interacting with one another/being supportive of each others dancing in part
4. At this point, youre all united as one big happy family.
