The CE10 Personal Project


gives students the opportunity
to compete a self-directed
inquiry within a global
context. Each project allows
the student to develop new
skills and a deeper
understanding of their theme.

Please ask our students to
explain their project to you,
where their journey started
and what they have learnt
along the way!

Global Contexts

We hope that our Year 9 students will enjoy our


showcase event and that they take this
opportunity to initiate some ideas for their
respective CE10 Personal Project.


I'm Christina. I'm a grade 10 student of BWYA.
I come from Beijing, China. My personal
project is about designing a formal dress. This
project includes dress designing, professional
draft drawing skills and making a dress. My
goal is to design a formal dress in a creative
manner that can attract a younger generation.


My name is Katherine. I am from Beijing,
China. The topic of my personal project is
about combination desserts. In my project I
will work on combining two existing desserts
together to make a new dessert. My goal is to
create a recipe that contains a combination of
15 desserts with a unique taste.


Hi! I am Matthew Ma, and I am come from
China. My whole project is about nuclear
weapons. I will introduce the principles of
how nuclear weapons work. The history of
nuclear weapons. What treaty did human
make for nuclear weapons, and I will analyze
the influence of nuclear weapons. What I
want to learn in this project is the knowledge
of the work principles of nuclear weapons,
and how did human invent it.





My name is Alisa. I came from Indonesia. My
project is about design and make cell phone
cases. To make the cell phone cases, I used a
3D printer to print the phone cases and
computer software called SketchUp Make.
My goal for this project is to improve my
creativity by designing cell phone cases and
moreover I want to improve my computer
skills in using SketchUp Maker software by
making different phone cases with different
design.



I am Rayce and I come from China. My
whole project is about the feeling: fright. I
chose this topic is because that I am a
huge fan of Creepy Pasta and horror
things, but is not the "Jump Scared", is
more like "creepy scared". My goal is to
find out the real meaning of "Creepy" and
use it into my artworks; I'd like to create
the things that make people feel creepy.



My name is Bobby, and I am a tenth grade


student. My project is a roller coaster
model, it was built a 60cm*80cm PVC
board, all the materials were bought on
taobao, cut and assembled by myself. The
coaster was designed and built based on
the law of conservation of energy,
acceleration of gravity and gravitational

potential energy.





Hi, I'm Helen from CE10M, I live in Beijing
now. My personal project topic is about
making Tang dynasty costumes. This idea
came up because I like China traditional
Hanfu culture and I'm interested in
making stuff by myself. This is a good
opportunity for me to learn more about
China and the skills of making manual
costumes.


My name is Li Yushan (Jessica). Im from
Lanzhou (Gansuin China. My personal
project is Chinese Culture (Cheongsam). My
personal Project goal is to let more students
and teachers to understand Chinese culture, I
also want to learn the culture through this
opportunity to improve my own learning
ability, research ability and practical ability.


I am Nick and I come from China. My
personal project is to design and
manufacture a multi-functional chalk box.
The purpose is to facilitate teacher's daily
teaching. I really want to do something
simple and practical. Although some people
think that is insignificant for teaching. I
believe the feeling of taking one chalk in a
elegance and smooth is exactly teacher are
looking for.


Im Linda, from CE10R. My personal project
is to do the traditional crafts. The reason
why I choose this projects because
traditional manuals can show various
national culture and characteristics. It also
can practice my hand techniques. I choose
to do the Chinese knot, because it have lot
of type can show different moral and style,
extremely speaking, it can inherit Chinese
culture.

Hi! I'm Berlin, also my Chinese name is


limingzhen, I'm a 16 year old boy who
wears a pair of big black glasses, I'm a
high school sophomore of BWYA, My
Personal project is about Psychology
SpecificallyIts Does luxury make
people excited ?. The goal of my project
is solving some daily life problems from
the perspective of Psychology


My name is Andy. I come from China. My
personal projects topic is investigation
into bridges (comparison and design).
My aim is to find out which kind of
structure in the strongest and then I
design a model of bridge that includes
the structure I choose.


I am Imai Rieru and I come from Japan. My
personal project is designing and making caps
by myself. I am willing to be unique to design
something special. I think the cap could
highlight one's complete look. Different cap
themes will give people a different feeling. I
never learned a professional method of
making caps, therefore I would like to use my
free time to learn more knowledge and skill to
create the things I like. This will be a great
time to let me enjoy and grow up!





Hello everyone, I'm Tina from CE10R. I
came from Beijing. My project was a
sketchbook that is about fashion designs of
clothing for adolescent girls. I have
designed 25 pieces of clothing, and each
article has detailed information beside it.
Hope you guys enjoy my designs,
especially the adolescent girls, which were
my target audience.


Hello everyone, my name is Harry; I am a 15


years old boy from Beijing. Now I am
studying in BWYA, I come from CE10M. My
personal project is to make a brochure to
introduce a poor school to people and ask
them to donate money for the school. My goal
is to help the kids in underdeveloped area
and contribute my love and care to the poor
kids. I


My name is Shirley, Im now 15 years old, I
come from Beijing, China. I study in the
international school BWYA, in grade 10. My
personal project is to make a golf instruction
video for the beginners in golf. My global
context is identities and relationships.




Hi, Im Roger from CE10M. My personal
project is about Cosplay prop making. About
month ago, my parents and some of my
classmates think that watching anime and
doing cosplay is like a freak. I just want to
show them that cosplay can be a wonderful
thing and making cosplay prop is full of fun.


My name is Claire and I come from Shanxi.
My personal project is the combination of
story and music. It' s a video about a musical
story for kids who are 4-12 years old. My
personal project' s goal is to teach kids
something about friendship and put story
and music jointly.

I'm Jennifer. I come from Beijing. My


project is about to make some old jeans
(clothes), which cannot be worn, useful.
Now many people in some poor area
don't have enough clothes to wear,
some our old clothes can donate to
them, but there are some shabby that
can be wore we can use them to make
some decorate or something useful. Not
only interesting and beautiful, but also
can protect environment.

My name is Adia, and I come form Wuhan. My

project is to make a movie, a horror movie,


and it 's called "The Ancient house". My goal
is to experience what to be a director like and
try to release the pressure in people by
scaring them. But the first goal is my main
goal.


My Chinese name is Li Sitong, my
English name is Griffin, I come from
Beijing, I go to school at BWYA, and I
am 16 years old. My goal is to
complete 15 new dishes for my
personal project.
