ABSTRACT
This investigatory project is not familiar, because people buy the effective stain remover
W-40. However, if revisions and innovations about the product and its process will be
introduced, it will be a good research.

The investigatory project of DALNDAN as STAIN REMOVER was conducted to

determine the alternative product in removing stain in metal.
This investigatory project research specifically aims to:
1. Make an alternative product in removing stains.
2. Protect the hands/skin in the strong that chemical containing.
It also sought to answer the following problems:
1. How to produce DALANDAN as STAIN REMOVER?
2. What is the efficiency of the DALANDAN in the removing stains?

INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:
The Philippine orange or locally known as dalandan , is a member of the sweet orange
species of the citrus family. Sweet oranges, for many years, was known as citrus

auranntium var. sinensis L. and was considered as a form of the sour orange but has
now been considered a distinct species, C. sinensis Osbeck, although this was not
universal agreed. Hence, although a lot of information scientifically names dalandan as
C. aurantium, we shall refer to it as C. sinensis.
Dalandan is rich in Vitamin C that gives protection to different diseases. And the skin or
the outer covering of this dalandan is hard. The fruit stated is a citrus fruit that clearly
helps the immune system very much. In this booklet about the immune system, Louise
Tenney M.H. discusses dietary recommendations and supplements and herbs that help
to improve immunity. The immune system is the body's main defense against disease
and toxins. When the immune system isn't fuctioning properly, viruses and bacteria
have free reign in the body. By focusing on prevention rather than treatment, these
viruses and bacteria never have a chance to invade the body. And natural medicines
like fruits, specifically, orange (dalandan), lemons, grapefruits, limes, etc.
Originally from China, dalandans have adapted to local conditions and have developed
a terrific flavor that is both acidic yet sweet. They are somewhat similar to Valencia
oranges. Perhaps because both are varieties of C. sinensis. Fresh Dalandans have
bright and deep green skins, smell great, possess a natural shine and are firm to the
touch. They have an obovate shape.
DALANDAN as STAIN REMOVER has gained prominence as an important business
project. It gives people and provides them with extra incomes. Most importantly, it can
helps you earn more money.
This production/experiment usually prepared by student or just an ordinary children.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM:
The study has conducted to determine if the DALANDAN is effective as STAINED
REMOVER. To determine the efficiency of DALANDAN as an important product in
removing stains.
The specific objects of the study include the following:
1.

How effective is the calamansi as stained remover?

2.

Is there a significance difference of DALANDAN as stain remover to the W-40?

STATEMENT OF HYPOTHESIS:
1. There is significant in DALANDAN as STAIN REMOVER in metal.
2. There is no significant in DALANDAN as STAIN REMOVER in metal.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

The student sector, would be given an extra knowledge .This study aims to determine
the effectiveness of DALANDAN as an alternative for metal remover.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION:

The study covers how citrus fruits can be used as a stain remover. Other than that, the
study will not cover topics beyond the scope of the research.
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE:

Citrus is a common term and genus of flowering plants in the rue family, Rutaceae.
These plants are large shrubs or small trees, reaching 5-15 m tall, with spiny shoots and
alternately arranged evergreen leaves with an entire margin. The flowers are solitary or
in small corymbs, each flower 2-4 cm diameter, with five (rarely four) white petals and
numerous stamens; they are often very strongly scented. Citrus fruits are notable for
their fragrance. The juice contains a high quality of citric acid giving them their
characteristic sharp flavour. The genus is commercially important as many species are
cultivated for their fruit, which is eaten fresh, pressed for juice, or preserved in
marmalades and pickles.

METHODOLOGY:
This investigatory project was conducted in our houses, using experimental tools. The
data were obtained through experimentation. The dalandan was poured in the metal
that containing stains. The materials are just simple and cheap in preparing this product.

MATERIALS/EQUPEMENT:

DALANDAN
ALCOHOL
BAKING SODA
NAIL
TUPPERWARE/CONTAINER

GENERAL PROCEDURE:
We remove the zest of the dalandan.

Then, put the zest/skin of the dalandan in a container.

After, that we put the alcohol in the container together with a zest/skin of a
dalandan.

Lastly, we soaked the zest/skin of a dalandan together with the alcohol in 1 hour.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION:

CONCLUSIONS
Therefore, the researchers conclude, that the combination of DALANDAN ( skin/zest) ,
baking powder and ALCOHOL extract could be a best alternative for stain remover.
Considering the abundance of the materials, and the low cost value of it, it is definitely a
must-have product for everyones household.

RECOMMENDATION
Considering the same components of this three ingredients, the researchers of the
study would to clarify that either baking powder which diluted in water could be used in
coming up with the natural metal removing.
