I will draw a 10 circle on the board and 4 circle I will let the children count with me while I draw the circles. Then I will tell them 10 plus 4 give 14. I will show them how to write 14 by telling them first we write 1 then 14.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1) Low level: I will give the picture of a gum machine. They have to put number 14 on the gum machine.

Medium level: I will give them a cup cake picture. They have to create number 14 by searching for number 1 and 4.

High level: I will give them a card they have to count and write number 14 by the marker on the square.
