MY EXPERIENCE

STUDYING IN AUSTRALIA
FOR ASIAN STUDENT
My experience : Last summer, I went to Hawthrone in Melbourne to study
english and learn some experience. Im 15 years old so I studied in preparation to high
school course and lived in homestay with single mom. I went to school by bus, train or
tram whatever I want and most of weekend, I stayed over with my sister and brother in the
city and spent time by traveling in Melbourne with them. There are many places you can
relax and spend a good time there. I always walk around the city or footpath make your-
self was lost in Australia to find the new places and new experience. I never worry about
how to go back home because the transport in there easy to go to one place to another
place. In my school, most of students is Chinese. The main cause that Asian students want
to study here because they want to have better life, democracy, good job, education and
freedom. I think Melbourne is one of state that good to study and live. Its not too crowed
like Sydney. I love Australia. I think The reasons that why the Australis is the good choice
for international students.
I can say that the democracy is the main reason for many asian student want to live
and study in Australia. For example, in china, they cant have any more freedom. The gov-
ernment of china always corrupt their country and force the people to do whatever they
order. The only social application that can use is WECHAT because they dont want the
people open more their mind from other any corner of the world. Its different from Australia.
When I was in Melbourne. One day, The protest took place and I was quite frightened be-
cause I havent seen something like this and many countries in Asian if the protest take
place nobody want to stay longer near it for sure. Every time it take place, the crimell hap-
pen too. but there its not. They just walked and shouted some words on the road and they
dont have any violence at all. It shows that its very different. Australia accept and listen
for our opinions without violence.
Not only the democracy but also the education in Australia not like in Asian. The teach-
ers teach the student to think and learn what what how why by themselves and listen to
the opinions students different from Asian. The teacher just talk and order student note the
lecture down and remember all of this for the next exams. The quality of education is im-
portant, but another significant aspect of choosing a location or university is student life.
Australia, in fact, houses six of the forty best student cities in the world. A survey in 2012
even revealed that 88% of international student respondents are satisfied or very satisfied
with living in Australia. This is not surprising, as Australia is considered to be the fourth
happiest country in the world. It is show that if we have a chance to study, we will get
many chances for our future for examples, good jobs, good quality of life and insurance.
This is my experience of studying in Australia. If you have a chance I suggest you to
go to the new place that you havent know what is it exactly. Youll get the new thing that
will change your life. Life is not destination but its journey.
