10:20 a.m. 10:30 a.m. Ask students to join me on the carpet.
Read story Pattern fish. Review definition of
patterns: a pattern is something that
repeats again and again. Give examples on
white board.

10:30 a.m. 10:42 a.m. Group Activity. Start with Group A and
have the students come to the front of the
class. Arrange the students into a standing
and sitting pattern along the front of the
class. Ask the students in Group B to tell me
the pattern. Have the two groups create
their own patterns working together. Pre-
arranged groups:
