Lesson Title: Responsibility Auto B Good


Grade Level: 3-4

Learning Objective:
-I can define the word responsibility
-I can explain ways to show responsibility at home and at
school.
Materials Needed:
-Computer (to Auto Be Good videos)
Formative Assessment:
Students will be asked to participate in a video discussion
to show their understanding of what it means to be
responsible and ways that you an show others that you
are responsible.
Lesson Preparation:
Essential Questions:
-What does is mean to be responsible?
-How can you show responsibility?
-What are you responsible for at school?
Engagement/Hook:
Students will watch one of two Auto B Good videos
(Responsibility, Dependability)
Instructional Procedures:
Counselor(s):
1. Counselor will explain to students that our topic for
today is responsibility.
2. Counselor will ask students to answer essential
questions listed above.
3. Counselor will inform students that they are going to a
video and will need to pay close attention because the
counselor will have discussion questions after the video.
4. After the video, counselor will ask students the
following questions:
Responsibility video (3rd Grade) How did Callie show
responsibility? How did Callie not show responsibility?
What were possible actions that could have occurred due
to Callies decision to have others take on her
responsibility? What did happen as a result? What do
you think Callie learned?
Dependability video (4th Grade) What does it mean
to be dependable? Why is it important to be dependable?
How does dependability relate to responsibility? What
could make it hard to be dependable?
Students:
1.Students will listen as counselor explains topic for the
day.
2. Students will answer the essential questions as the
counselor asks them.
3. Students will listen as counselor explains the lesson
plan for the day.
4. Students will participate in the video discussion.
