Present Perfect and Past Simple

Ive bought a DVD player. (Now I can watch films). I bought a DVD player at the market yesterday.

She has lost her keys. (Now she cant open the door). She lost her keys last week.

Ana has visited Italy three times. Ana visited Italy in 1999.

USE

We use the present perfect to connect the past with the present. We dont say when the action happened.

We use the present perfect when we talk about past experiences in general.

We use the past simple for actions that happened in the past. We know when or where those actions happened.
