THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study will investigate the effect of computer-aided instruction

in Science 6 on the academic performance of Grade 6 students at

Balnasan Elementary School, San Roque, Northern Samar.

Specifically, it will seek answers to the following:

1. What is the performance in Science 6 of the respondents before

the use of computer-aided instruction?

2. What is the performance in Science 6 of the respondents after

the use of computer-aided instruction?

3. Is there a significant difference in the academic performance of

the respondents before and after the use of computer aided-

instruction?

4. How do the respondents evaluate the CAI material?

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY


This study will examine the effect of computer-aided instruction in

Science 6 on Grade 6 students at Balnasan Elementary School, San

Roque, Northern Samar.

In particular, this study aims to:

1. determine the academic performance of the respondents before

computer-aided instruction;

2. find out the academic performance of the respondents after

computer-aided instruction;

3. ascertain if there is a significant difference in the academic

performance of the respondents before and after computer-aided

instruction;

4. know the evaluation of respondents of the computer-aided

instruction.
