TDC Cycle Time Calculator

Instructions
Input your data in the blue sections.
Multiply your basic cycle time by the efficiency factor
Add the appropriate application factor

Note:
Grab outhaul length will vary depending on reeving.
Swing speed depends on radius. Use the following table for inputting swing speed.

Radius Slew
below 20m 2.5 rpm
20m 2 rpm
25m 1.7 rpm
30m 1.5 rpm

Input your parameters here (meters)

Hoisting Speed 100 m/min Hoisting Height 25 m
Lowering Speed 100 m/min Lowering Height 25 m
Swing 2.5 rpm Swing Angle 120 degree
Grab Outhaul 8 m Radius 20 m

Basic Cycle Time Efficiency Factors

The following parameters are calculated automatically Multiply the Basic Cycle Time by the following factor
Hoisting Time 15 Experienced operator 0.9
Swing 8 Inexperienced Operator 1.1
Open Grab 5
Swing 8 Application Factors
Lower 15 Add the following number of seconds depending on your application
Close Grab 5 Open stockpile -4
56 seconds Hopper 4
Extreme dust 3

Result
Basic Cycle Time 56
Application Factor 4
Efficiency Factor 0.9
Cycle Time 54

Example
Calculate the cycle time for an experienced operator from 25m depth, 120 degree swing into a hopper with extreme dust.
with grab outhaul of 8m.

From 25m depth, 120 degree swing, basic cycle time is: 56
Multiply by efficiency factor, 0.9 for experienced operator 50
Add the application factor (+4 for hopper) 4
Add the application factor for extreme dust 3
