Handout 1 (Activity 1)
Anne : Hi friends. Next week is Sarah’s Birthday. How about planning a surprise
birthday party for her?
Jason & May : That’ll be great.
Raju : Why don’t we buy some delicious food and drinks?
Jason : Yes. That’s a good idea.
May : Could we have games too?
Anne : Sure. Why not! That will be fun.
Raju : I have a suggestion. We can buy Pizza from Dominoes. The set menu is much
cheaper. It comes with drinks.
Anne : What about getting a gift for her?
May : We could get a photo album.
Jason : I’m not sure about that because she probably has enough.
May : In that case let’s get her a personalised mug.
Jason : I agree. It’s an excellent idea. We should go for it if everyone agrees.
May, Anne, Raju : We agree.
