CG Infra
Independent Power Company Nepal
Established in 2001, Independent Power Company (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. has technical partnership with a
UK based company, Independent Power Plc. The aim of this company is to set up series of
hydroelectric generations and other electric infrastructures e.g., transmission lines, substations and
franchise distributions. Independent Power Company (Nepal) will generally focus on smaller
hydroelectric schemes.
CG Energy Infrastructure
Established in January 14, 2006, CG Energy Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (CGEI) focuses on power
development for domestic needs in Nepal and export to India. In the initial phase, CGEI is working on

The Chaudhary Group has built two manufacturing plants in Nepal. It also has six plants in India for
the manufacture and distribution of Wai Wai noodles.

CG Electronics
CG Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is a company under the Electronics division of the Chaudhary Group dealing
in Television sets. It assembles LG TVs and CG TVs and trades in Onida TVs and Toshiba TVs. These LG
TVs and CG TVs are assembled in its factories at CUG, Nawalparasi and STARLEC, Satungal.
CG Financial Services
Chaudhary Group has a controlling stake in Nabil Bank, Nepal's largest private-sector commercial
bank.

Chaudhary Group to invest the corpus in buying distressed hotel properties in India, rope in
investors; has identified 5-6 hotels.
Nepal's multinational conglomerate Chaudhary Group (CG) is looking to launch an Rs 1,000 crore
fund that will invest in distressed hotel assets in India.

Chaudhary Group (CG) announced that it would invest Rs 50 billion in the country by 2020 in various
projects that include industrial park in eastern Nepal.
CG is also planning to invest Rs10 billion in the real estate sector within 2020. These projects,
according Nirvana, “assure 20 percent return”. One of these projects includes CG Legend, a
multipurpose complex spread on 400,000 sq. ft. of land in Pulchowk, opposite the United Nations’
office.
Other proposed investments include Rs9.4 billion in cement plants in Palpa and Dumbkibas, Rs1
billion in CG Brewery, Rs800 million in Wai Wai plants in Nawalparasi and Sunsari, Rs250 million in
Rio juice factory at Nawalparasi and Rs200 million in CG Packaging.
