Report on the Conduct of the

CY 2018 Q1 NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

Observations:
1. The 1st Quarter CY 2018 National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill was
conducted February 15, 2018 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon. All students
from Grade 7to Grade 12 participated in the activity/drill.
2. Before the drill, the school personnel’s conducted an orientation on earthquake
preparedness particularly the dock, cover and hold.
3. Class advisers remind the learners what to do before, during, and after the
earthquake incident. The Route Map and Evacuation Plan was clearly
presented and defined to all learners and teachers. A briefing on what to do
during an earthquake incident was conducted by the School DRRM
Coordinator. The time of eatrhquake is signalled by ringing the siren.
4. When the signal came, the participants do the dock, cover and hold and
emmidiately proceed to the designated evacuation area assigned for every
grade level. The students walked faster than normal to the evacuation area.
Safety precaution was observed while going down the stairs.
5. All teachers enacted their respective roles and responsibilities as a member of
SDRRMC. Some teachers served as the Emergency Response Team composed
by Rescue Team and Medical Team.
6. When in the evacuation area, designated learners conduct a head count. No
students had gone astray. Victims were properly handled by the Medical
Team.
7. The exit of students from their classrooms to the evacuation area was tabout
3 minutes and the rescue and medical team located and recued acting victims
about 6 minuets.
8. The drill was ended when the Fire Safety and Building Safety Inspection Team
signalled clear, the School DRRM Coordinator (Mr. Jumar A. Baldrez)
Declared “ALL CLEAR”.
