1. The Departrnent of Education (DepEd) will conduct the 2Ot, Brtgada, Esktt'b

nd Paaralanfrorn May 15 ta 20,2017. "fhe Bigad.a Esbuela is the National Schools'
Mainterance Week tiat aims to bring together a.ll education stakeholders to
paiticipate 6nd contribute their time, effort and resources to pEEpare public school
facilities ready for the openirg of the School Year in June.
2. On May 15, regional oflices (ROs) and schools division offices (SDOS) shall
hold a caravan to launch the frst day of Brigada Eskweld. A kick-off ceremony will
be held iJI a public school offerinS Senior High School Progra.E, which will also be
the final stop of the caiavan. This year's national kick-off cerenofly will be held in a
public seconda.ry school in Region VIl, the host region.
3. All regional directors arld sehools division superintendents shall mobilize their

i{rplementation of Bn?adq Eskrrelq. in all public elemerrtai'y and seconda.ry schools
aIId to ensurc involveftent of the community aIrd local stakeholders.
4. School Heads (SHs) shall take the lead role in plaloing the activities geared
on making schools ecologica-lly conscious, resilient, clean a,rd conducive to learning.
Important reminders to SHs in the conduct ofthis activity a-re indicated in Enclosure
No. 1.

6. All DepEd employees arc encouragcd to join the Bngoda.Askluera activities by
offering their skills and by sharing their time or providing theit assistance in-kind,
and by supporting pubLic schools neal their respective residences. Interested
employees ar:e giveo two days to do volunteer work on orficul time, provided that such
work is approved by thei! heads of offices.
