Dear Sir,

Project: Project Aqua - Corniche Beach Revitalization

Subject: Formalization of Verbal Instruction - Phase 01

With reference to our discussion during the meeting on 23 May 2018, kindly find below list of
completed works during Phase 01 which have impacted consultant's approvals due to verbal
instructions that were given on site at the time. Additionally, kindly find attached drawing indicating
the below completed works on site.

1. Kerbstones
Hilalco installed 125mm wide Kerbs instead of 150mm Kerbs as the supplier could not
provide 150mm at the time of urgency. (See attached Email Confirmation from Supplier)
2. Paving Patterns, Sizing & Material
Were selected by Miral and laying was completed as per verbal instruction from Miral
3. Palm Planting along Corniche Road
Was not part of IFC Drawings. Trees installed as per verbal instruction from Miral on
site
4. Timber Decking
Foundation Details do not match IFC Drawings. Job completed on site as per verbal
instruction by Miral
Shop Drawings (as built on site) to be submitted by Hilalco
5. Selection of Play Equipment (Volleyball Posts)
"Bin Sabt" was submitted and approved by ADM however the supplier used was
"Raymond Sports" instead, as per Miral confirmation by email.
6. Trees at the Outdoor Gym
Cannot be installed, Miral verbally agreed on site
7. Containers at Zone D
Horizontal Containers above the existing ones were not brought to site as per Miral
verbal instruction
8. Trees in Basketball Court Area
Site work not matching IFC Drawings. Two No. of trees not installed between 2
basketball courts as per Miral verbal instruction
9. Light Posts at Basketball Court Area
Location of Light Posts changed as per verbal instruction from Miral

10. Tunnel Issues

a. Stair Tread - All site work completed as per verbal instruction from Miral and
agreement with Imagineering
b. Plantings - Verbal instruction from Miral to install all plantations except 2 trees in
tunnel area
c. Drainage - Verbal instruction from Miral given to Hilalco to implement the subsoil
drainage system in the tunnel area for planting
11. Play Area Shade Structure
Additional trees installed in 3 locations during the festival as per verbal instruction from
Miral
12. Removal of Planters
Removed in front of F-04 & F-05 as per verbal instruction from Miral
13. Trees at the East End
Not planted as per IFC drawing and put on hold as per verbal instruction from Miral
14. Existing Public Toilets
All refurbishment works at existing public toilets completed as per verbal instruction
from Miral
15. Vertical Containers
Initial design has no doors.
But New design has internal structure. For all internal works to be done, access was
required.
This opening for the door had to be provided in order to complete internal works
16. Painting of Walls and Surface Treatment
IFC Drawings do not show painting of Landscape Walls
Hilalco painted the walls as per verbal instruction from Miral.

In order to close out document/drawing submissions and obtain approvals, we would like to kindly
request a written acceptance for all the above verbal instructions that were given during Phase 01
of Project Aqua.
