1. Teacher introduces sentence pattern and vocabulary – unique,
features, resembles, broken, upside down, leaning using pictures on
page 113 of textbook.
2. Teacher gets students to sit in groups of 4.Teacher gives each group a
picture from page 113. Students take turn to talk about the picture
while the other members in the group listens. Each student say only
one sentence in a round. They can help one another. They talk about
the picture until the given time is up.
3. Three group members go to the other groups ( one group each) and
ACTIVITIES listen to the group member who stays describe the picture. Then they
go back to their own group and take turn to tell each member what
they heard from the other groups.
4. Each group comes out and describes their picture and other students
guess which building they are talking about. Teacher puts up the
correct picture when answer has been given.
5. Teacher distributes worksheet and students number the picture
described by the teacher. (Use picture from page 113 but arrange in
different order)

3. Teacher models reading the text on page 116. Students tick or cross out the
words in the K column if teacher reads them.
4. Teacher gets a student to read the 1st sentence and each student continue
to read a line each until the text is complete. ( 8 sentences = 8 students)
ACTIVITIES 5. Students fill in the W column with words they don’t understand and
information they need the teacher to clarify.
6. Students turn to their face partner and Student A read the same text while
Student B listens and corrects if there are any mistakes. Then student B reads
and student A listens.
7. Teacher displays the meaning of difficult words on the board and gets
students to match the words. Teacher gives examples if students can’t guess
the word.
8. Students fill in the L column with new words/ info they have learnt that day.

1. Teacher displays picture of The Leaning Tower of Pisa. Gets students to talk
about the building using the notes given. (as in page 118)
2. Using the placemat concensus, each student write an idea/ words they
want to use to describe the Leaning Tower of Pisa in a column each.
3. Teacher distributes an envelope containing sentence strips of a completed
description of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. ( Pg. 118). Students rearrange the
sentences to form a paragraph, in groups of 4. Paste the sentence strips on
mah-jong paper / manila card.
ACTIVITIES 4. A representative from each group present their product by reading the
completed description to the class. Teacher / Other students respond
appropriately.
5. Teacher distributes worksheet with a picture of the Leaning Tower of Teluk
Intan on top of the worksheet to each group. Get students to brainstorm
words and ideas they want to use to describe the picture. Then start chain
writing. Each member of the group write a sentence each, using the
words/ideas agreed upon to write a description of the Leaning Tower of
Teluk Intan.

OBJECTIVE a) speak on related topics with guidance.
b) participate in conversations with peers
1. Teacher revise what the class learnt last week. Students name
some of the buildings they known.
2. Teacher gives each student a picture of the buildings learnt.
Students take turn to talk about the picture while the other
student listens. They can talk about the picture until the given
time is up.
ACTIVITIES
3. Teacher reads a description of a building. Students draw the
building while listening. Then they display their work and others
observe in a gallery walk.
4. Students talk about their dream house.
5. Teacher distributes worksheet and students number the picture
described by the teacher. (Use picture from the text book)

OBJECTIVE 1. read and understand phrases and sentences from linear texts
2. read for enjoyment with guidance
1. Teacher shows a picture of unique house.
2. Teacher tells students to write down 9 words they expect to come
across as they read a story on two buildings.
3. Teacher models reading the texts on page 117. Students cross out
the similar words heard.
4. In groups of 4, students take turn to read a text each to the team
members. Members can correct pronunciation when needed.
ACTIVITIES
5. Using the table on page 117, partners take turn to fill in the
information. Stop writing when the teacher signals. Give the table to
the partner who continues writing until the teacher signals stop.
Repeat until all the information are completed.
6. Students answer the comprehension questions on pg 117 individually.
7. Teacher reads information from the text. Stand up if the statement is
true, and sit down if the statement is false.
