Evaluation my role in production of CVS

. What were you asked to do?

I was asked to make a promotional video in a group for Redbridge CVS which would boost
their reputation and to make people more aware of their organisation within their area.

. Who/ what were you making a video about?

I was making the video for a Healthy Living Project which would promote their organisation
in the area in which they were based in.

. What was the purpose of the video?

The purpose of the video was to promote their organisation so that the community would
be aware of what they are doing to help homeless people and maybe the community
themselves would help the organisation by donating food, clothes and money.

. What did you do in each production stage?

Pre-Production: Before we started to record I had to make a script for the interview so we
knew what questions we were going to ask rather than asking the questions on the spot.
This made us more prepared

Production: During production I testing the sound to make sure the microphone was on and
that we could hear the interviewer and interviewee both speaking.

Post Production: After the production of the film I had to put all the camera shots together
and the make a little film out of it. I also had to make sure the voice timing was the same as
when they spoke so it didn’t sound out of tune.
. What problems did you encounter and how did you solve them?
There were a few problems I encountered during the duration of the video production.
There was an incident where a man broke the camera’s tripod so we couldn’t record on that
day. To resolve this we had to schedule another day to come back and record again.

. What were your strengths and weaknesses in each stage?

In Pre Production my strengths were that I knew how to make a script and what type of
questions were needed to be asked so that we could get some very good answers from the
Healthy Living Centre. I did not have any weaknesses.

In Production I did not have any strengths but my weakness was that I hadn’t tested to see if
the microphone was one before so I wasn’t sure if I was doing it write or not.

In Post Production my strengths were that I had put a movie together before so I knew what
I was doing and I knew how to edit videos from using Windows Movie Maker.

. What is your opinion of the finished product?

My opinion of the finished product it that it shows the hard work me and my team put in
into making the video. The video shows everything you need to know about the Healthy
Living Project and it gives people a chance to see what kind of things they do and how you
can get involved yourself and help out.
