Olympic Sports
The purpose of this project is to pick a sport and know how to solve the function of the
graph. The Olympic sport would have the sport and could be displaying a parabola. From the
parabola, we have to get more than one thing and get the vertex, y-intercept, and x-intercept.
With this project, you will understand to get the function of the graph and be using different
methods to get the answer. Some thoughts about this project were how I was going to find the
function of the graph and do all the math with the factoring, completing the square, and quadratic
formula methods. My goals for the project were to finish everything so I could revise my work
and check everything. Another goal I created for myself was to understand everything I was
Throughout the project, I made many decisions like when I was going to do my project
and which functions of the graph I was going to be using. In the graph, I also had to label
everything to see where to start from my graph and where the parabola ends. Knowing how i can
show my work after I find the vertex of the graph. I also have to find the x and y intercept to get
the entire function of the graph. In order to accomplish my goal for the function was knowing to
take some steps towards finishing my work on time. I also had to find the parabola by get all the
points. From this project I have to know how to find the zeros for the methods we are using.
There are some reasons that to get the zeros for the graph.
I learned that I have to do many steps to accomplish my goal I have for my project. In
this project I also learn to use different methods when I find my zeros for the function. In the
function I have to know how much time it takes the ball to get to the other side. Something I
learned about myself was to take time doing my work so I could get everything in place. I also
taught myself to see what function I really am going to use during all the methods. Something I
did very well was pointing out the points in the graph like finding the vertex of the graph.
Something I would have to improve is getting the function so I could do all of my work. Next
I recognized and weighed perspective by knowing how I could do my project and to see
what the main point of the project is. I also had to see what I could do to finish my project and do
all the tasks that were given to me. I communicated ideas by asking for help and seen what I
could do to improve my project. Also by knowing if could see which were some problem from
the project. During the performance outcomes I can see that I recognizes perspectives by
knowing I would engage in the mathematics that I was given. In the project it took me time to
