Time Starter Activity: (individual + group work)
‘Single Round Table’ – Kagan’s Cooperative Structure
Prior to lesson: Teacher shows a picture of a fishing village.
1. Teacher instructs the students to jot a word based on the picture.
2. The student will write a single word then the group members will take turn to
write.
3. The students share their words to the class.
Activity 1: Read aloud and find meaning (individual + pair work)
‘Mix-Pair-Share’ – Kagan’s Cooperative Structure
1. Students are given a strip of a reading text. They will read and practice their
pronunciation.
2. On that strip too, there is an underlined word with meaning.
3. Students will mix around, pair and read aloud the sentence and share the
meaning of the underlined word.
4. Students will write the meaning in the given worksheet.
