2. Based on the list above I just speak three languages; Indonesian language, manado language and
Balikpapan language. In educational situation, I usually use Indonesia language. But generally I use
Indonesian language in all of formal situations.

for example: when I want to talk with some lecturers in the campus, I mostly apply Indonesian language.

And I use manado language in an informal situation.

For example: when I talk to my family at home or when I made a conversation with my friends, I usually
utilize manado language.

I mostly applied Balikpapan language in a formal and informal situation in Balipapan, when I talked with
my teacher I usually used Balikpapan language. because I only speak and understand three language;
Indonesian and manado and balikpapan languages, I am 100% multilingual.

3. Both my parents are from Makassar and they also can speak both Makassar language and bugis
languages. when I was one year old, my mother brought me from Makassar to manado. At home, my
my mother has never spoken to me using their own ethnic language or their regional language but
they used manado language, so did my father. finally manado language is my first language And I have
lost both bugis and Makassar language. When I was senior high school, I went to Borneo, east
Balikpapan, studying there. Most of people there used language which surely I did not understand.
Because I am minority here, I tried so hard to speak their language and I habituated to use the
language. Two months later I can speak Balikpapan language. In Balikpapan, I did not use manado
language anymore. But when I come back to manado, I used manado language.
