SEARCH FOR BEST GULAYAN SA PAARALAN 2019

1. The Department of Education (DepEdp) through the Municipal Nutrition Council


(MNC) in connection to the Month-long activity for the Nutrition Month Celebration.
Strengthens the implementation of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) for all
public and private elementary and secondary school in the Municipality of Oas.
2. This Search for Best Gulayan sa Paaralan, is open to all schools. Submission of official
entries for each district will be on July 28, 2019, Friday.
3. A minimum of 200sq.m and maximum of 300sq.m land area of vegetable garden.
4. Preliminary evaluation is on the first week of July and second and final evaluation will
be on the last week, July , 2019.
5. Three winners will be chosen from the participating schools and will receive a cash
prize. Announcement of winners will be on the Culminating Program on
___________________.
6. Decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

1. Creativity and Resourcefulness - 30%


2. Best Garden Practices - 20%
3. Diff. Innovations Adopted - 40%
4. Use of Organic Agriculture - 10%

GUIDELINES and CRITERIA for BOOTH MAKING COMPETITION

1. The competition is open to all elementary and secondary schools both public and
private schools in the municipality of Oas.
2. The booth design should be anchored on the theme: “Kumain ng Wasto at Maging
Aktibo……Push Natin To!”
3. The booth should served as a business that would be a source of income which is a
part of the criteria for judging.
4. A parent-representative is in-charged for the selling of the fruits, vegetables and other
local product which will start on July 15, 2019 and ends of July 31, 2019 the starting
capital should be P1000, (the pointing system is as follows)
5. An interview will be conducted to the parent-representative, teacher-representative
and pupil-representative a day July 30, 2019 before the final judgement and awarding
ceremony on July 30, 2019.
6. The booth must be set-up before 5:00 p.m. on July 15, 2019 at Oas Kiosk Pavillion.
7. The materials to be used should be an artistic blend of recycled materials.
8. The Booth-making competition will be judged with the following criteria;
 Creativity and Originality - 40%
 Durability - 20%
 Theme and /or Symbolic - 10%
Representation
 Interview and Presentation - 15%
 Profitability - 15%
Total 100%
9. The decision of the board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
