Microorganisms

The five major groups of microorganisms are –

 Virus
 Fungi
 Algae
 Protozoa
 Bacteria
Most of them are completely harmless but some of
them can be harmful.
Bacteria-
 Bacteria are unicellular organisms
 They are larger than viruses
There are three different types of bacteria – sperichal
, rod shaped, spiral shaped.
Fungi-
 They can be unicellular such as Penicillium,
aspergillus etc. and multicellular such as
hyphae
 They feed on dead and decaying matter.
