Dấu hiệu nhận biết
Thì hiện tại đơn thường đi kèm với các trạng từ, cụm từ sau đây (mức độ thường
xuyên giảm dần):
 Always: luôn luôn, lúc nào cũng
 Every day/week/month/year: hằng ngày/tuần/tháng/năm
 Usually: thường thường, thường xuyên
 Often: thường xuyên
 Sometimes: đôi khi, thỉnh thoảng
 Seldom: hiếm khi
 Rarely: hiếm khi
 Hardly ever: hầu như không bao giờ
 Never: không bao giờ
Ví dụ:
It’s always cold in this room. (Căn phòng này luôn luôn lạnh lẽo)
Sometimes it’s best not to say anything. (Đôi khi không nói gì là tốt nhất)
I rarely have time to read a newspaper. (Tôi hiếm khi dành thời gian đọc báo)
 Chú ý: thì hiện tại đơn còn dùng để nói đến lịch trình của tàu, lịch chiếu
phim, các lịch của sự kiện được lên sắn như chuyên bay, buổi họp,…..
