Narrative Report
1 Week Health Activities for the Month of July

I. INTRODUCTION
The human body can provide places for disease-causing germs to grow and
multiply. These places include the skin and in and around the openings to the body.
It is less likely that germs will get inside the body if people have good personal
hygiene habits.

The importance of hygiene should be taught from an early age to help cultivate
good habits. personal hygiene can be defined as an act of maintaining cleanliness
and grooming of the external body. Maintaining good personal hygiene consists of
bathing, washing your hands, brushing teeth and sporting clean clothing.
Additionally, it is also about making safe and hygienic decisions when you are
around others.

II. ACTIVITIES
1. Handwashing – The teachers demonstrated the proper handwashing to their
pupils and each pupil observed and followed the proper steps of
handwashing. Pupils washed their hands before and after recess/meals and
after using the toilet.

2. Tooth brushing – It’s good for children to start having their teeth brushed
early so that they see tooth brushing as part of their daily routine. After
lunch, pupils brushed their teeth. Teachers reminded their pupils that tooth
brushing 2 – 3 times a day can help reduce bacteria from our mouth that can
cause tooth decay.
