Topic: Microscopy
III. Concept
A microscope is an instrument used to see objects that are too small for the naked eye. The science
of investigating small objects using such an instrument is called microscopy. Microscopic means
invisible to the eye unless aided by a microscope.

B. Mood Setting
- Have a review of the past lesson through a fishbowl, where the teacher will pick a question
about the previous lesson, then student volunteer/s will answer afterwards.
- Introduce the day’s lesson by showing the microscope to the students and asking them what
they know about the microscope.
C. Lesson Proper
1. Describe the microscope and its uses.
2. Also mention the parts of a microscope and briefly discuss the function of each part.
3. Discuss the importance of a microscope and its uses not only in science but also to other
fields of science.
4. List down the things to remember on taking care of the microscope.
VI. ASSIGNMENT
Instruct the students to bring 2 pcs of short bond paper and to review the day’s lesson
in preparation for the activity tomorrow.
