Presentation Software

A presentation software helps create a slideshow that addresses a topic. Presentation

programs can be used in businesses and schools for discussing a topic or for teaching.
There are literally hundreds of presentation software tools in the market today and
keeping track is getting increasingly hard. Most of them have been optimized for a
specific purpose or type of user. Many times, the presenter uses a projector to project
the slideshow up on to screen that everyone can see.
Prezi, the mothership of powerpoint alternatives, have been around for many
years. Leveraging the concept of ZOOM and transitions to new spaces on a slide, they
give the effect that the presentation has not moved to a new slide. Prezi provides
people with creating better style and effect in their presentations. Prezi uses the
concept of Pathway Points instead of slides to give the visual cinematic appeal of their
presentations.
One of the standard bearers in the presentation software space, Keynote is meant to
allow presenters to create customizable presentations. It comes with 30 themes that
you can start with and pre stock photos.
To switch things up a bit MediaShout is a presentation software tool for religious
institutions and churches. It is a powerful platform that can be utilized by churches of
all size and combines. The software works well with the team that is managing the
media and productions during any religious service but particularly during the sermon.

Google slides also offers a wide variety of formatting tools and special effects. Online
sharing is one of the strengths of Google Slides since it's a cloud-based tool. You can
easily use it for real-time collaboration or to publish a slideshow on the Internet. It also
works on a PC, a Mac, or even a mobile device as long as an Internet connection is
available.

Microsoft Powerpoint

Microsoft PowerPoint, virtual presentation software developed by Robert Gaskins and

Dennis Austin for the American computer software company Forethought, Inc. The
program, initially named Presenter, was released for the Apple Macintosh in 1987.
Microsoft purchased the software three months later and offered it to Windows users in
1990. Since that time, Microsoft has released an abundance of updated versions, each
offering more features and incorporating better technology than the one before it. The
most current version of Microsoft PowerPoint is available in Office 365.

PowerPoint was designed to facilitate visual demonstrations for group presentations in

the business environment. Presentations are arranged as a series of individually
designed “slides” that contain images, text, or other objects. The 1992 release of
PowerPoint 3.0 introduced the now-standard virtual slideshow. Subsequent versions
have added more features: slide transitions, background designs, animation, graphics,
movie and sound clips, and AutoContent. In 2003 the renamed Office PowerPoint
reflected Microsoft’s emphasis on standardizing the user interface and program
functions across their suite of Office programs, which included Word (a word processor)
and Excel (a spreadsheet program).

In Microsoft Powerpoint, you can create either from scratch or a template that contain
information you want to share. Often, you show the presentation to others in an office
setting, such as a sales meeting, but you can also create slide shows for weddings and
birthdays. You can also insert pictures and videos from your computer and the internet,
draw shapes, and create and insert all kinds of charts. There are ways to transition the
slides in and out as you present and animate the items on any slide as well, among
other things.
