WORK METHOD STATEMENT

ALL WORKERS INVOLVED IN THE WORKS MUST HAVE THE WORK METHOD STATEMENT EXPLAINED AND COMMUNICATED TO THEM PRIOR TO
THE START OF WORKS.

Brief description of activities

Pre-requirement 1. All workers all qualified and experience for safe working practise at site.
2. All workers come with valid CIDB green cards.
3. All workers to attend site safety briefing prior to the works start.
4. All workers to come with appropriate PPE, Helmet, Jacket, Vest, Safety Hardness
5. To submit workers’s name, IC number, photocopy of IC & CIDB card, Passport size photo (1 pc) & RM10/pax for the safety induction.
Safety briefing time is available on Mon, Wed & Fri (10am).
Equipment / Tools required for this 1. Scaffolding

5. Hand tools. (Ring Spanner, Hammer, F-Spanner)
6. New bolts/nuts
7. New gaskets
Details of checking prior to start 1. Isolation valves tightness check to be conducted by GDC.

3. Get info from GDC/User for the dimension of existing flow meter, flange type/rating, gasket material & thickness.
4. Confirm the dimension & weight of the new flow meter & flange rating.

Flange ASME B16.5 (ANSI 300#??), face-to-face length = 700mm,
No of bolt/flange: 24pcs, Diameter of bolt: 1-1/4”, Diameter of bolt hole: 1.38” ?
Main Scope of Works 1. Conduct details pre-inspection.
2. Removed existing insulation.
3. Shut off isolation valves and drain water from the pipe line.
4. Dismantle and removed existing flow meter.
5. Install new flow meter with new sets of bolts/nuts and gaskets.
6. Line pressure test by opening Isolation valves.
7. Install new PU injection insulation and metal sheet (material?)

beforeOne week DAY 1


1. Conduct details pre- 1.1 Get the relevant drawing & specification of the existing flow meter.
inspection. 1.2 Get info from GDC/User for the dimension of existing flow meter, flange type/rating, gasket material & thickness.
1.3 Submit worker name list, all workers come with CIDB green card.
1.4 Attend safety briefing.
1.5 Conduct detail site inspection.
1.6 Erect scaffolding with green tag.
1.7 Remove existing insulation for physical checking on the dimension of the existing flow meter, stud/nut size, gasket thickness.
1.8 Install Almaflex Insulation for temporary & make existing metal sheet into funnel to collect condensation to be drain down via funnel
& rubber hose to a collection drum at floor level.
1.9 Install wall plugs at the necessity location for lifting of flow meter.
1.10Remove bolt/nut one at a time and replace with new bolt/nut completely. Total 48 sets.
1.11 Check the drain valve flange size, and the number of drain available.
1.12Valve closing & tightness check to be conducted by GDC prior to the next task.

2. Remove existing insulation 2.1 Erect scaffolding with green tag.


2.2 Remove Almaflex Insulation and dispose later.
2.3 Remove the PU insulation by disc cutter and scrapper.
2.4 Remove existing jammed bolt/nut (if there is any) by mean of hotwork.
2.5 Move in necessity tools & equipment.

3. Shut off isolation valves and 3.1 Shut off all isolation valves. (Qty: ??)

7. Install new PU injection 7.1 Install new metal sheet lining. (spec, 0.4mm Aluminium)

8. Completion & Hand Over 8.1 Conduct joint inspection for completion and hand over.
