Awareness Video Presentation: “Image Formation by a Plane Mirror”
This video showcases how an image formed in a plane mirror, its nature and characteristics.

Activity Group Activity: Mirror left – Right Reversal. LM Science 10 page 177-178.
This activity will describe the images in a plane mirror. This will also show an understanding
of reversal effect in plane mirrors.
Analysis 1. What are the letters of the alphabet (in capital) that can be read properly in front of a
mirror?
2. Think of words (in capital letters) that can be read properly both with a mirror and
without a mirror. What are these words?
3. Write the sentence below on a clear sheet of paper in such a way that it can be read
properly in front of a mirror.
4. What is the nature of the image formed by a plane mirror?
Abstraction Mirror Left – Right Reversal- the left side of the object appears as the right side of the image
and the right appears as the left.

Application 1. How important is the way the word “AMBULANCE” is written in front of the
vehicle?

Assessment Write a letter to your loved one such as parent written in reverse and thus need a plane
mirror to read the message.

Assignment Using a 1/8 illustration board, write your favourite quote in reverse manner. Do it
creatively.
