Requisites
This course is a comprehensive study of Philippine Literature from the beginning of Philippine literature to the present. It
Course Description introduces students to the development of the various literary genres of the Philippines. Through discussion and analysis
of various literary genres and elements, this course seeks to enhance students’ awareness and appreciation of Philippine
Literature.
At the end of the learning experience, the learner will be able to:

Differentiate the historical transition of Philippine Literature from the Pre-Spanish Period up to the present;
Explain the significant features of the various literary pieces from different periods ;
