Title of Micro-Project:- -LASER LIGHT SECURITY ALARM

1.0 Brief Introduction:

Wireless security systems can be easily controllable through a wireless remote or a
touch tone phone from any place. Here main components of the laser security system are
infrared motion sensors and a basic alarm unit. It works based on heat detection from a
person’s body in case of any security fault. Based on this alarm unit is triggered. The
system alerts the security monitoring person and the local law enforcement body if
required. At the same time a high pitched sound also sirens. There are two types of laser
beams are available, green and infrared modules. System via an infrared module will be
not visible. Another beam like green would be visible to the naked eye and serve as a
deterrent purpose.
2.0 Aim of the Micro-Project:
This Micro-Project aims at
1] Totally reduces man power.
2] Prevent the entry of unauthorized person in the particular area.
3] To improve the security system.
4] To provide a very modern and provide high sensitive system.

Title of Micro-Project:- LASER LIGHT SECURITY ALARM

Rationale/Brief inroduction:-
Laser based Security System is a type of security and alarm system that uses laser light and a
light sensor. A security system protects our homes, offices, banks, lockers etc. from intrusion
and unauthorised access. Function. ... An infrared motion detector works by using beams of
infrared light to detect changes in heat.

Purpose :

security alarm is a system designed to detect intrusion – unauthorized entry – into a building or other
area. Security alarms are used in residential, commercial, industrial, and military properties for
protection against burglary (theft) or property damage, as well as personal protection against intruders.
Security alarms in residential areas show a correlation with decreased theft.[1] Car alarms likewise help
protect vehicles and their contents. Prisons also use security systems for control of inmates.

Some alarm systems serve a single purpose of burglary protection; combination systems provide both
fire and intrusion protection. Intrusion alarm systems may also be combined with closed-circuit
television surveillance (CCTV) systems to automatically record the activities of intruders, and may
interface to access control systems for electrically locked doors. Systems range from small, self-
contained noisemakers, to complicated, multiarea systems with computer monitoring and control. It
may even include two-way voice which allows communication between the panel and Monitoring
station.

2.0 Aim of Micro Project:

Our project/model aims are as follows:-
1] To provide and promote security at home.
2] It is easy to handle, simple in construction and conventional in design.
3] To introduce a low cost and functional yet Simple Door Alarm that can created
at home.
4] To alarm the people inside the house about someone who intruded without
permission.

3.0 Course Outcomes Integrated:

a) Identify different instruments , sensor,actuators, microprocessors,software and
mechanical components in mechatronics based system.
b) Use Transducers for different mechatronics based application.

4.0 Actual Procedure Followed:

1] First for selecting micro-project subject we read syllabus of Fundamentals Of
Mechatronics.Hence after reading syllabus we decided, ’To prepare working model of
any one Burglar Alarm’ i.e.(Door Alarm System)
2] After selection of that working model of Door Alarm System we were discussing some
ideas to make the model.
3] Whenever we understood some exact idea we prepare proposal(Annexure I) and
submitted with respect to our subject teacher and project guide Mrs. Gunjal Mam
4] After submitting proposal we make model of the Alarm and project report.
