INTRODUCTION

“Selangkah Mengenali Politik” is considered a coursework under the subject Development

Administration (PAD 381). This proposal is done by students from AM110/5F with the collaboration and
support from UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. It also encourages as well as allows the minds of
younger generation to get an exposure of what it takes for a country to be developed in the aspects of
economy, social and politics. We hope that it gives the younger generation to get a positive perspective
towards politic in Malaysia so it will contribute towards the future generation. In order for this program to
be successful, there is at least a minimum of RM 1000 as a budget from this program.

BACKGROUND

The name of the program which is agreed by all of the members including the lecturer in charge is
“Selangkah Mengenali Politik”. This is because in hopes that the program will be a platform for younger
generations to get an early positive exposure towards politics. It can also encourage leadership skills
among students and get an idea of what is development administration as a whole. Firstly, there will be an
energizer for the students to give them an energy push before they start embracing themselves in political
knowledge. After that, there will be a talk as well as forums between-(leaders) (lecturers) to really spark
an interest about politics because it is believed that the younger minds are easily influenced. Later on,
there will be three meals provided which is breakfast, lunch as well as hi-tea. Later that evening, there
will be an expo for people to venture in entrepreneurship as there will be a lot of item being sold so it can
really give the sellers a chance to grow and widen their business platform with their various products
being sold in the university. At the end of the day, all off the participants will go back home with
advanced knowledge about our country and can be used in their school to share with their friends as well
as in their examination. We hope that “Selangkah Mengenali Politik” will give a lot of input towards the
participant and it could be a learning process for the organizer to also learn more about political
knowledge

OBJECTIVE

1. To give the younger generation an early positive exposure towards how politics function in our
country as well as the various political party in Malaysia
2. To gain knowledge on how as a citizen of Malaysia can benefit and contribute towards the
country in the aspect of social, economy and politic.
3. Enables people from the rural area to benefit themselves and expand their business capability in
the university to gain profit as well as boosts economic activity.
4. Encourage students to always gain additional knowledge especially about their own country so
they will appreciate how their country obtained independence.
5. Encourage students to further their studies and find their desired passionate career in order to
contribute towards the future generations.
6. To explain what is the objective as well as functions of voting for the general election.
