Group Role-Playing Game Rules


Before You Begin
For each training class, the instructor will determine the number of learners per group, the number of
groups, and the number and types of prizes awarded. The instructions provided below assume a class
size of 12 learners who are divided into 3 groups with 4 learners per group.

Prizes are awarded as follows:


 1st place prize is awarded to the group with the greatest number of correct answers in the shortest
amount of time.
 2nd place prize is awarded to the group with the second greatest number of correct answers in the
second shortest amount of time.
 3rd place is awarded to the to the group with the third greatest number of correct answers in the third
shortest amount of time.

Procedure
Instructor

1. Form learners into groups of 4 people and ask each group to appoint a group leader.
2. Distribute the group role-playing game sheets groups (one game sheet per group).

3. Announce how the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be determined.

4. Ask leaners to brainstorm scenario examples. 2


5. Ask leaners in each group to assign each categorical task for each member. minutes

Learners

6. Create short scenario examples for each performance category on the game worksheet.
7. Put the answers on the answer sheet (the last page of the game sheet).

8. Submit both game sheet and answer sheet to the instructor.

Instructor

9. Collect worksheets and answer sheets from all groups.


10. Redistribute the game sheets to a group that is different from the creator group.

11. Keep the answer sheets to yourself for later answer check use.

Learners

12. Identify the answer for each scenario example on the exchanged game sheets.
13. Write your group’s answers on a blank piece of paper.
14. Raise your hand as soon as your group finishes answering all the questions.

15. Wait for the instructor to come and compare your answers with the original creator group’s
answers.

Instructor

16. Note the order in which each group leader raises their hand.
17. Count the number of correct answers per group on their exchanged game sheet.
