At the end of the 60-minute lesson, the students are expected to:
A. General Objective:
1. Read a text with fluency
B. Specific Objective:
1. Able to read text with proper expression.
2. Observe the use of punctuation marks in reading.
IV. Procedure
A. Motivation (Pick it, Act it)
1. The teacher will choose some students to go in front.
2. The chosen students will pick small piece of paper inside the small box.
3. Each small paper has one simple sentence.
4. The chosen students are expected to read the sentence with proper
expression that is written in the paper.
5. Other students will guess the expression present in the sentence.
6. The teacher will give feedback.
B. Reading Activity
1. The teacher will give the students a short dialogue.
2. Students are given 10 minutes to read dialogue.
3. After reading, students are asked to tell in the class what are the
expressions and punctuation marks present in the dialogue.
C. Enrichment
1. The teacher conducts an interactive discussion about the dialogue.
2. The teacher explains the importance of expression and punctuation marks
in reading a dialogue or text.
V. Evaluation
A. Group Activity: Role Play
1. Students will be grouped into 5 (five).
2. Each group will be given 5 minutes to prepare.
3. Students will be using the text camping in the cold.
4. Each group is expected to observe the punctuation marks and express
the dialogue with proper expression.

Expression 15 points

Accuracy (punctuation mark) 15 points

Impact 10 points

Total 40 points

VI. Assignment

The students will look for a short poem with 2-3 stanzas and read it with proper
expression in the class next meeting.
