Evidence: Life from a wheelchair

 What does Ashley do for a living?

Ashley is a university student with a disability, because she suffered


cerebral palsy.

 How does her condition affect her daily activities and how does she deal
with it?

Ashley does not complain about anything, takes life with the best attitude, it
is difficult for her to move quickly, so she leaves earlier to get to school on
time, it is difficult for her to write fast.

 What is her attitude towards life? Does she feel disabled from certain
activities?

She knows she has a hard time doing some things like everyone else, but
she doesn't feel disabled, she takes things with the best attitude and meets
her goals at her own pace.

 How would your life be different if you were handicapped and had to use a
wheelchair? What would be different for you? (Use mixed conditionals in the
answer).

My life would be completely different, I don't know how I would face life if I
didn't have the proper functioning of my body, although seeing stories like
Ashley's are inspiring and show us that many times the limitations are on
people's minds.
I think if I was in a wheelchair, I couldn't go out dancing with my friends and
it would be hard for me to get to work because the buses are not suitable for
this.

 How do you react when you have to interact with a handicapped person?

I take a normal attitude, try to help and not make the person feel bad.

 How can you contribute to improve the life of handicapped people?

I can contribute with support and good service to help in whatever they
need.
