Subject: Supply, Erection & commissioning of 02 Nos Automatic Coal Sampler for 4X210 MW
CHP:Int HTPS Korba, West.

1. All the material required for erection & Commissioning of 2 nos Auto Coal samplers have been supplied to
store vide DRR No 2251 Dated 12.03.2019
2. The Erection & Commissioning work was permitted by CSPGCL to be carry out through our sub-contractor
M/s Barron Power & Infrastructure, Darri vide letter No 21-15/HTPS/CHP/278 dated. 16.04.2019.
3. On Behave of M/s Rohan Engineering Enterprise, Kolkata Mr Shibsankar Mahapatra and Sayan Sarkar has
visited the site on 29.04.2018 for the supervision of erection & commissioning work of the 02 nos Auto Coal
Sampler at CHP INT on Belt Conveyor No 5A & 5B in CHP INT,HTPS,Korba West.
4. Erection of 02 nos Auto Coal Sampler have been done during 01.05.2019 to 10.05.2019.
5. Poking Pockets have been provided as per the requirement of EE (CHP:INT-OPRN) to facilitate the cleaning
of discharge chute in case of jamming.
6. Electrical panel have been installed left side of the belt conveyor no 5A in first floor of TP 6 in consultation
with electrical department.
7. Power supply was provided by the CHP-Electrical department from CHP Control Room.
8. Trial Run of the system have been taken for two days and found that there is some spillage of coal during
scooping of Auto Coal Sampler, So M/s Rohan Engineering Enterprise, Kolkata has been advised to modify
the collecting Y-chute to arrest coal spillage during operation of Auto Sampler.
9. Further CSPGCL has insisted to provide software installed in process and train for operation of the same.
10. M/s Rohan Engineering Enterprise , Kolkata agreed to make the necessary modifications in the collecting Y-
chute and they left the site on 11.05.2019 for re-designing of collecting Y-chute.
11. Again Mr. Shibsankar Mahapatra of M/s Rohan Engineering Enterprise has visited the site for modification
of Y-chute to arrest the spillage and final commissioning of the system on dated 17.06.2019.
12. Modification of Y-chute have been done on 18.06.2019 in Conv. 5B, and trial run has been taken in presence
of CSPGCL officer on 19.06.2019 and found that now there is no spillage. So the same modification was
carried out in Conv. 5A on 19.06.2018 and trail run taken.
13. Final Commissioning of the 02 Nos Auto Coal Sampler has been done on 20.06.2019.
14. Final Trial run carried out on 20.06.2019 in Presence of Shri K.N.B Rao (E.E CHP Opn. Int), Shri U.S
Chandrawanshi, (Officer Incharge), Shri Kamla Singh (EE Electrical maint, CHP:INT) and Shri O.P Pandey (E.E
Mechanical Main. CHP:INT).
15. Training for trouble free operation has been given to CSPGCL officer (Mr. U.S Chandrawanshi) and their
staff.

 16. Trail Run was continue from 20.06.2019 to 28.06.2019 by CSPGCL and found that both the Auto Coal
Sampler are working satisfactory.
17. Operation manual, Drawing (GA Drawing & Part Drawing ) and Electrical Drawing has been submitted
to Chief Chemist (Coal Sampling), Mechanical Maintenance and Electrical maintenance CHP INT.
18. Installed PLC software (CD) has been handed over to CSPGCL Officer Shri Kamla Singh (E.E Electrical
main. CHP:INT)
19. With this Supply, Erection and Commissioning of 02 Nos Auto Coal Sampler have been completed in all
respect as per PO terms & Condition.
