METHOD STATEMENT

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this method statement is to describe the specifications and different
stages involved for the safe and proper construction of pile caps, water sump and
ground floor related to the “Greenpath City Hotel Development Project”.

 METHOD STATEMENT

PILE HACKING

All the pile will be concrete additional 1 m length from the pile cutoff level. After
excavation carried out addition 1m length of the pile from the pile cutoff level will be
hacked and cleaned.

 METHOD STATEMENT

LEAN CONCRETE

After the excavation soil surface will be leveled roughly and if the soil condition is
muddy thin layer of laterite soil will be placed on pile cap area, water sump and ground
floor bed. The bed will be compacted to the required level. A 75mm lean concrete of
grade 15 shall be placed over the soil surface.

SETTING OUT

After completion of lean concrete, setting out for pile caps, water sump and ground
floor will be carried out in according to the layout drawings.

FORM WORK

Thereafter Form work around the pile caps, water sump and ground floor will be
carried out with 12 mm thk plywood, 2”x2” timber and GI Pipe, Pipe supports, T jack,
and Form Ties.

REINFORCEMENT

Reinforcement will be carried out as specified in the structural drawings for pile cap,
water sump & ground floor. (Refer Annexure – II) For more details about reinforcement
refer “Method Statement on Reinforcement”.

CONCRETING

Concreting will be carried out with relevant grade of concrete as specified in design. For
more details about concreting refer “Method Statement on Concreting”
