II. Industry Application

This type of experiment that’s done by the students made in a certain way that by knowing
elevations and distances of each building certain factors can be determined which can be of relevance
when a plan for a new structure is about to be constructed. The activity enabled the students to see
the distance by which certain points can really have different sets of values which can be a source of
error which is relevant to the building of certain structures. In that manner by which professional civil
engineers should always be exact in the measurements of each building because a little discrepancy
can cause a big and harmful effect in the future if not done correctly. In which stating facts that when
it is utilized for measuring angles, scaling points of constructional works. For instance, to decide
interstate focuses, gigantic buildings' raising edges theodolites are utilized. That being said the use of
the stadia sights has a big factor in what may be called as the measuring of elevations and distances
of certain points properly and correctly with no error that should be taken into consideration.

III. Procedure & Methods

1. The first thing that was done by the surveyors who did the activity was to determine the
distances and points that needs to be measured in order for it to remove any
misconceptions. It’s between two points in the Plaza Mayor of UST.
2. In order to start, instruments should be fully set up both theodolite and the dumpy level in a
way that both instruments are of equidistant places and that both are leveled on point A and
immediately do the same procedure for point B in terms of the leveling rod.
3. For the second part of fieldwork, the surveyors were tasked to measure the distance using
also both transit and dumpy level between the UST Grandstand and UST field.
4. Observe and carefully measure the stadia hair readings composed of its upper, lower and
middle readings.
5. Each equipment had two readings for this part of the activity and each should be recorded
to avoid any misconception.

VI. Conclusions

Stadia sights of an instrument is significant on finding the separation between two. In the activity
work, surveyors were entrusted to decide the stadia interim factor and the readings of travel and
theodolite. The surveyors confronted trouble in recognizing the upper and lower perusing in the
leveling bar because of the individuals strolling by in their working territory. They likewise experienced
difficulty adjusting the instruments particularly the travel which took a great deal of their time.
Potential wellsprings of mistakes could emerge out of the instrument, human blunder, or blunder in
calculation. To anticipate these blunders, it is prescribed that the surveyors must recheck and carefully
analyze the estimations more than once. Also, they should work on adjusting the instruments and
twofold check in the event that it is appropriately leveled. Also, ultimately, they should check if every
one of the qualities and recipes utilized in calculation are right so as to have exact outcomes.
