LESSON OUTLINE:
1. Introduction/Motivation: Guess the picture - What is your idea about the different picture flashed on the
screen?
2. Instruction/Delivery: Class and Group Discussion
3. Enrichment/Evaluation: Simple Activity/ Quiz using Zip Grade App

PROCEDURE:
Introduction/Motivation
1. Ask the student to guest the picture/ image by using the jumbled letter as their clue.
2. Ask the learners the following question:
a. What is your idea about the different picture flashed on the screen?
b. What do you remember or what comes to your mind when you hear the word religion?

Instruction/ Delivery
1. Introduce the different meaning of religion. Discuss the different characteristics of religion
according to Durkheim. Explain the different religious pattern (Supernaturalism, Animism,
Totemism, Theism, Polytheism, and Monotheism).
Religion – derived from the Latin word religo – “to bind” or “to obligate”
a. Supernaturalism – refers to the society’s belief in non-material forces that can
influence the physical world.
b. Animism – belief in nature spirit, emphasizes ancestor worship.
c. Totemism – believed that natural elements, plants, or animals can influence one’s life
and the material world.
d. Theism – refers to the people’s belief in divinity.
e. Polytheism – the belief in or worship of more than one God.
f. Monotheism – the doctrine or belief that there is only one God.

2. Ask the learners this question - If you were given a chance to change your religion pattern for
one day, what would it be and why? (e.g. follow up: different religion in a relationship)
3. Facilitate group activity: Instruct the students to form a five group. Tell them to read and follow
the instruction in front of the envelop before they open it. Discuss about the topic given to
them and answer the following question by using the concept map

5. After the group activity, emphasize the following point:

6. “Pass the Ball” Activity: to sum up the lesson, play the pass the ball. Counting will appear on
